Privacy Policy
This page explains what information the Pluma website collects about you, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do. It's written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
Pluma is a product of Habilesoft India Private Limited ("we", "us"), a company in India. You can reach us at info@habilesoft.com.
We handle personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act) and other laws that apply to us.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website, the early-access list, and how the Pluma dashboard (app.pluma.website) uses your Google account when you sign in with Google (see "Signing in with Google" below). A fuller privacy notice for the whole Pluma service, the dashboard and the websites we build and look after for customers, is on its way.
What we collect
Very little. Specifically:
- Early access: the email address you type into the form, and the date and time you sent it. That's all the form asks for.
- Your light or dark mode choice, if you pick one. It's saved in your own browser's storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and we can't see it.
- Nothing else. This website has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and sets no cookies.
Signing in with Google
If you choose "Continue with Google" in the Pluma dashboard (app.pluma.website), Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Pluma. We ask Google for nothing more: only the basic "email" and "profile" permissions.
- We use them only to create your Pluma account, sign you in, and show your name and picture in your dashboard.
- We keep them with your account on our servers, run by OVHcloud in France.
- We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it, we don't use it to train AI models, and we don't share it with anyone except the hosting provider that stores it for us.
- You can disconnect Pluma at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or delete your account in the dashboard's Settings.
Fonts from Google
The lettering on this site is loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, it sends a request to Google, and Google can see your IP address as part of that request. We don't receive anything from it. Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) explains how Google handles those requests. We may move the fonts onto our own servers in future, at which point this section goes away.
What we use your email for
Two things only: to reply to you about early access, and to tell you when Pluma is ready for you. We'll write in the same plain English as this page.
In the language of the DPDP Act, our basis for this is your consent: you gave us your email for exactly that purpose. If you change your mind, tell us and we stop.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your email address, or anything else about you, to anyone.
- We don't share it with advertisers.
- We don't add you to any list you didn't ask to be on.
- We don't make automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
Only the companies we rely on to store email and send replies, and only as far as needed to do that. They work under our instructions and their own privacy commitments. We don't hand your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Where it's kept
The providers we use to store email and send replies may keep your address on servers outside India. The font request described above goes to Google's servers, which may also be outside India. In both cases we rely on the provider's contractual and technical safeguards for that transfer.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until early access closes and you've told us you're not interested — whichever comes first. If we haven't heard from you at all by the time Pluma opens, we'll send one note and then delete your address if you don't reply.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act — and, as far as we're concerned, wherever you live — you can:
- Ask what we hold about you, and we'll tell you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it, and we will — the whole record, promptly.
- Withdraw your consent at any time by telling us.
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below).
Email info@habilesoft.com for any of these. If the law where you live gives you further rights, we'll honour those too.
Grievance Officer
In line with the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Act, 2000, you can raise any privacy concern or complaint with our Grievance Officer at info@habilesoft.com. We'll respond within the time the law sets — and usually much sooner.
Keeping it safe
We take sensible precautions to protect the little we hold. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we can't promise perfection — but we hold very little, which is the best protection there is.
Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under eighteen. If you think we have, tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change matters to people already on the early-access list, we'll email them too.
